I think this was done with just the modelling light, filtered through a diffuser. I like it because it gets rid of the shadows without making her face look flat, as the harder light sometimes did.
Chan was a great model. Not only gorgeous but full of forebearance. I haven't worked over these pictures at all yet. Just took them last night. Steve might've taken one or both of these, but I'm not sure. We didn't keep careful track this time. I think the first was with the softbox and the second with the harder light.
With a softbox. Halfway through the shoot, Chan got her hair wet, to let the curls come back.
After the shoot was over, when Chan's hair had dried, I noticed that her curls had come back and she looked wonderful, so we took a few more pics like that. They ended up being some of my favorites.
This helpful sign advises on the optimal speed for driving off the dock into the water. There were some other good signs, but I didn't want to keep asking Steve to stop the car.
Steve got this idea to do closeups in a corn field on the way home and this was one that i took. These flowers were bordering the cornfield.
